Friday we left Philip Island and went back to the surfers beach Woolamai where we had been during the storm and had been blown away. The sunshine was wonderful and the blue sky a tonic. the instructions were quite clear…. Don’t get wet. But the joy of both paddlers and watchers was overwhelming and the results were quite predictable really!!
Simon and Rachel were privileged to see a whale doing a swim past while we watched! What a sight! The water spout blew out the water then the back curved up and out of the sea! Incredible nature!
After the surf beach we headed back north to the city and stopped off the highway in search of lunch. No such thing as a pub but we did find a beautiful sheltered bay called Corinella, a road side BBQ and a picnic bench with a view! Happiness all round!
